Following steadily increasing demands in view of strain relief/deformation resistance and impact to resistance/resistance to abrasion the cable insulation is often not sufficient as protection. In such cases the so-called conduits or corrugated conduits are used. Protective conduits protect buried cables e.g. for energy supply or in the field of telecommunication against humidity and mechanical influences of many kinds. In industry cable conduits are for example used as protection against oils or acidic media.

Applications

Cable conduits are used in electrical installation, in buildings and in machine building. In construction they are used as empty pipes so that cables can be pulled through at a later point in time or they are laid around already existing cables.
