In addition, dTRON offers all the functions of diraTRON, and also has a sampling rate of 50 ms. The dTRON versions each have a universal analogue input, up to two analogue outputs, and up to nine switching outputs.

As an alternative to PID controllers, Siemens LOGO! mini control controllers and SIMATIC S7-1200 units are also available as solutions. However, here, the PID parameters must be manually programmed, whereas this takes place automatically with the PID controllers.

Another affordable alternative for smaller applications can be found in the temperature controllers from NOVUS or Selec.

To monitor thermal processes in plants based on pre-defined threshold values, you can make use of the DIN EN 14597-certified safetyM TB/TW and the fail-safe safetyM STB/STW temperature limiters. The limiters from the safetyM STB/STW series are designed especially for safety-relevant areas of application, as they fulfil the requirements of the PL e safety category. Both models are mounted on DIN rails.
