Advantages and properties of steel control cabinets.

Steel wall-mounted control cabinets are the standard variant of the compact control cabinets used in mechanical and plant engineering. They are robust and affordable, but are not suitable for outdoor use. In harsh environments, polycarbonate control cabinets or steel cabinets should be selected, as these are corrosion and heat-resistant.

The steel that is used is rolled thin and is also known as sheet steel. In spite of its thin sheet form, the material - and consequently the control cabinet - is very sturdy. The steel is also powder coated. The powder coating ensures that the surface of the sheet steel is shock, impact, and scratch-resistant.

Control cabinets serve to protect electronics and electrical equipment against dirt, dust, water and external influence. In addition, the user is also protected against electromagnetic emissions and contact with dangerous voltages. Steel wall-mounted control cabinets are used in many areas of industry and infrastructure, for indoor applications.
