SIRIUS ACT control and signalling devices from Siemens are characterised by their high durability and robustness. The versions with continuous protection up to IP69K offer high temperature, water and dust resistance and are suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. The components easily withstand high-pressure cleaning processes and can therefore also be used in the food industry as well as beverage and tobacco industries. The high media resistance of the control and signalling devices, for example against alkalis, aggressive vapors or oils, also benefits this.

The tight fit of the modules also contributes to the fact that the new control and signalling devices are insensitive to mechanical stress and under extreme conditions reliably operate. The optimal fit is guaranteed by the safe installation. Thanks to the arrow-on-arrow marking, incorrect insertion can almost be ruled out. In addition, the module slots engage audibly when the modules are used and acoustically confirm the correct installation. The special anti-twist protection enables easy installation in an inclined position or in a wide range. In addition, the installation is easy and time-saving. Since the actuator does not have to be held up during installation, SIRIUS ACT components can be installed with one hand and without special tools.

As described, SIRIUS ACT makes installations considerably easier. In addition, the new series can save you a complex wiring effort. In addition to standard wiring via screw or spring-loaded technology, you can also connect the control and signalling devices directly to the controller (PLC) in the field or control cabinet via IO-Link or PROFINET. In this way, sources of error can be excluded.

The integration in the TIA portal also contributes to the reduction of error sources, which allows you to carry out simple engineering. Extensive diagnostic or parameterisation options can thus be used. Thanks to the option handling, more flexible system planning is possible – even during ongoing operation.
